'Cataclysm' is the podcast by RMIT's student publication, Cataclyst Magazine. My friend, India, and I decided to take matters into our own hands and ask the Catalyst editors if we could revive the podcast during our final semester of uni, as the series only had three episodes since its inception and had not been consistent in its episodes.
India and I worked together to plan what the revived version of 'Cataclysm' would be about, pitched it to the editors and set to work. We were both involved in planning, scripting and recording episodes, co-hosting the podcast together. I was also the producer of 'Cataclysm', and once our editor had completed a draft, I would listen back and point out any areas I believed needed touching up or fixing.
'Cataclysm' was a fun experience that I was truly passionate about. I enjoyed the podcast production process and further developed useful skills, including effective communication, producing, scripting, recording, and using podcast software.
